My over 20 years as a Deputy District Attorney, have given me the skills, experience and temperament to effectively and fairly preside over a courtroom as a judge. I have been assigned to courthouses all over the county and spent 5 years in the Hardcore Gang Division prosecuting the most violent gang related homicides.  I have prosecuted over a 100 adjudications and trials, including over 70 jury trials to verdict, over 25 murder trials and 2 death penalty cases.  

I am a champion for the mental health of our Veterans and of all people.  While assigned to the Long Beach Courthouse for many years, I ran the Veterans’ Court and handled 100’s of defense requests for alternative sentencing programs and 1000’s of petitions for metal health diversion. It was extremely satisfying to see the support in the Veteran community and to see defendants regaining their mental health to become happy and productive members of society.

I have faith in the fairness of the justice system and I have seen justice brought to many victims and to defendants as well their distraught families.

When I’m not at the courthouse, I am an avid surfer and a certified yoga instructor. I’ve had the privilege of teaching surfing and yoga to underprivileged youth both locally and abroad. I relish in seeing the kids bloom with the confidence, joy and peacefulness that those activities foster.  

I have been a dedicated public servant for my entire career and I am running for judge because I want to dutifully and equitably serve the public from the bench.  I will bring fairness, honesty and integrity to the robe that I wear.  I am running a fully self-funded campaign and as such I will not be beholden to any donors or politicians.
